Pierrot supplies floss picks for adults and for children and the flossers of the Green line in bulk, with products made in Spain: three lines from a single brand.

Pierrot has been on the oral care market since 1945, with its own facilities in Cantabria. The flossers form part of the Pierrot range.

Floss picks are an alternative for consumers who prefer not to use string floss. For a retailer or a distributor, they are one more reference to consider within the interdental section of an oral care range.

What to check before you buy floss picks in bulk

Unit price is only one of the variables to consider. As general guidance, we recommend reviewing the following six points, whichever supplier you choose.

1. The pick count, per pack. Pack counts vary from one reference to another. We recommend confirming the count of every reference before planning your range.

2. The age band on kids packs. It is advisable to confirm the age group indicated on each kids pack and to check it against how your market expects children’s products to be labelled.

3. How the pack hangs. It is advisable to check how each pack is displayed, so that it suits the fixtures used in your channel.

4. The documentation behind any environmental claim. Environmental claims may be subject to specific rules in each market. We recommend asking any supplier for the supporting documentation and verifying the requirements of your market before using such terms on a shelf label.

5. The language on the pack. It is advisable to check which languages your market requires on the pack and to raise the matter at an early stage.

6. Where it fits in the range. Flossers sit alongside interdental brushes and string floss. We recommend planning the interdental block as a whole rather than a single reference.

Why a flosser line merits its place on the shelf

These are four general considerations to assess in the light of your own channel.

 1. It is an alternative to string floss A pick is held in one hand, so it may suit shoppers who prefer not to use string floss.

 2. It is an everyday consumable Flossers are a consumable product. It is advisable to assess the rotation of the category in your own channel.

 3. It complements the kids block A kids flosser can be presented next to the children’s toothpaste and brushes.

 4. It can sit alongside the Green line The flosser of the Green line can be considered alongside the rest of that line when planning the shelf.
