What a European distributor gains from a European brand

A distributor who works directly with a brand deals with that brand’s own team. In practice, this translates into three general advantages.

Origin

Made in Spain

Pierrot has its own facilities and its own laboratory in Cantabria, in the north of Spain.

Range

An oral care range under a single brand

Toothpaste, adult and kids toothbrushes, mouthwash, floss, interdental brushes, floss picks and accessories, all under a single brand.

Since 1945

An established brand

Pierrot has been on the market for eighty years, which offers a distributor a long-standing brand around which to plan a shelf.

Requirements for selling within the European Union

Oral care products sold in the European Union are subject to regulatory requirements that vary according to the type of product. We recommend reviewing the obligations applicable in your market with your regulatory adviser.

The documentation available for each market is defined during the application process.

From Cantabria to the European market

Pierrot products are made in Spain, and the company has its own facilities in Cantabria, in the north of the country.

The initial range and the formats depend on the destination country and the channel served, and are defined during the application process.

Presentation at the point of sale

Presenting a brand at the point of sale requires suitable material. The catalogue can be requested through the distributor form, and any point-of-sale support is discussed during the application process.

The requirements differ from one channel to another, so it is advisable to indicate the channel you serve in your application.

What to check before choosing a supplier

These are general questions that we recommend raising with any European supplier before entering into an agreement.

Origin

Who are you dealing with?

It is advisable to know whether you are dealing with the brand itself. Pierrot products are made in Spain, and the company has its own facilities and laboratory in Cantabria.

Depth

Does it cover the whole shelf?

An oral care shelf usually includes toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash and interdental products. It is advisable to check how much of it a single supplier can cover.

Restocking

What if a reference runs out?

It is advisable to ask in advance how restocking is managed and whether an alternative is available within the same family.

A fourth point to consider: whether the supplier provides selling material, such as product photography, a catalogue or point-of-sale support.

Distribution channels

The most suitable range may vary according to the channel.
