At Pierrot we use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, analyse usage and, where applicable, show third-party content. Below we explain which cookies we use and how to manage them.

3. Legal basis

The legal basis for the use of cookies that are not strictly necessary is your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR and art. 22.2 LSSI-CE). Technical or strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under art. 22.2 LSSI-CE itself, as they are essential to provide the service you requested. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out beforehand.

Preference, analytics and marketing cookies are NOT installed until you accept them: until then, the third-party scripts that generate them stay blocked. If you reject, none of them are installed.

As evidence of your choice we store the date, the categories accepted, the version of this policy, the browser and a pseudonymised identifier (salted hash) of your IP address. That identifier is still personal data: the IP does not appear in the clear, but we do not treat it as anonymous. It is the proof of consent required by art. 7.1 GDPR and is kept only for the period stated in the site settings.
